22 and counting – So far this year, 16 DASH clients have been given leave to remain, and 14 of them had previously been refused, some multiple times.

DASH development

Back in April, DASH announced a new partnership with Paddock Community Trust. In a joint statement, Secretary Jane Fowden said: “This partnership brings us together with Works Better, Welcome Mentors and Talk English. We’re excited to be working under one roof, at the heart of a thriving community centre, strengthening links for the benefit of asylum seekers and refugees in Kirklees.” The last three months saw DASH attend conferences and training with Refugee Action, NACCOM, WYDAN and Third Sector Leaders.
